HappyChaps was born in 1977 when Debi K. Chapman drew her first Birth Memento for her son Kyle. Debi's drawing became an instant success and soon every family member had to have a Birth Memento of their very own! This family project soon grew into a small business as Debi's drawings grew in popularity. For twenty-one years, Debi hand colored and filled out thousands of her beautiful Birth Mementos for newborns all across the nation! In 1999, Debi decided that HappyChaps had run its course and she happily retired. But in 2004, her son Kyle and daughter-in-law Michelle had their first child, Madison Leigh Chapman, and being a Chapman meant she desperatly needed a HappyChaps Birth Memento of her own. Happychaps was reborn! But this time Kyle and his wife Michelle would pick up where Debi left off. Inspired by their daughter's birth (and Grandma's talent) Kyle and Michelle have brought HappyChaps back to life!
